Surface Flammability Test
ASTM International Test Method D2859
Ignition Characteristics of Finished Floor Covering Material
Test Procedure: The test was conducted in accordance with ASTM International Test Method D 2859, Ignition Characteristics of Finished Textile Floor Covering Materials. This method covers the determination of the flammability of finished textile floor covering materials when exposed to an ignition source under controlled laboratory conditions. It is applicable to all types of textile floor coverings regardless of the method of fabrication or whether they are made from natural or man–made fibers. Although this method may be applied to unfinished material, such a test is not considered satisfactory for the evaluation of a textile floor covering material for ultimate consumer use. This method involves the exposure of conditioned and oven–dried specimens to a standard source of ignition in a draft–protected environment and the measurement of the resulting char length. This test method provides a procedure for identification of those finished textile floor covering materials that can be rated as flame–resistant under specific controlled laboratory conditions. It does not specify the use of an underlay material. If desired, the method may be used to assess the effect of a specific underlay in combination with a specific floor covering, but such a variation in procedure must be noted in the report. Results observed with the specimens in a horizontal plane, as specified, may not be characteristic of the same material when used in any other plane, particularly in a vertical plane.
Interpretation of Results: A single specimen has passed the test if the charred portion of the tested specimen does not extend to within 1.0 inch of the edge of the hole in the steel frame at any point. The mandatory Flammable Fabrics Act Regulations require that at least seven of the eight individual specimens pass for the carpet or rug to meet the acceptance criterion.
Material Tested:
Subject: Better Life Technology submitted a sample of of their G-Floor material for abrasion testing. ASTM specifications for this material did not include requirements or a method for determination of abrasion resistance. A specification for rubber flooring materials—ASTM International F 1344, Standard Specification for Rubber Floor Tile—included a method and requirements for abrasion resistance. Section 7.5 Abrasion Resistance states: “When tested under Test Method D 3389 with the abrader equipped with H-18 wheels and
a load of 500g, the maximum material loss shall not exceed 1 gram after 1000 cycles.”Discussion: The G-Floor material was tested using ASTM Test Method D 3389—Rotary Platform, Double-Head Abrader—Method B (Abrasion for Specified Number of Cycles with Determination of Loss in Mass). Five specimens were tested and the total mass determined for each. Each specimen was subjected to 1,000 cycles using a Taber Abrader equipped with H-18 wheels and operated under a load of 500 grams. Subsequent to exposure, the final mass of each specimen was determined and the result express as weight loss in grams.
All five G-Floor specimens tested well under 1 gram of weight loss.

Coefficient of Friction: The generally accepted industry standard is that a static anti-slip COF of 0.50 or above is safe on a dry walkway surface. A value below 0.50 indicates an unsafe walkway surface. Most codes recognize a static COF of 0.5 as legal & enforceable for slip resistant pedestrian walkways.
*** The Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines indicate a minimum COF of 0.60 for level surfaces and 0.80 for ramps.
CAUTION — SAFETY WARNING:
Any floor surface may become slippery when moisture or debris is present. Proper care and cleaning of vinyl flooring will reduce the likelihood of slips and falls. Always wipe up any oil, chemicals, or other fluids that may drip or leak from vehicle to prevent hazardous, slippery conditions. Always dispose of hazardous materials properly. Never leave chemicals on product or wash into sewer system.

Epoxy floor paints do what they claimthey help form an impermeable seal between corrosive spills and your porous concrete. However, very few people get through the complex, time-consuming, messy task of preparing the surface and applying floor paints correctly. If they do, they often find themselves having to repeat the task far too often. With interlocking floor tiles, you have a simpler application process than with paints, but the cost is enormous, durability is limited, and maintenance is high. There had to be a better alternative, and we've created it!
The best solution for commercial floor covering should install quickly and easily and still provide a great looking barrier between your customers / employees and the floor. Flooring should be reasonably priced, be easy to trim to custom fit, and last for decades. We believe Better Life Technology is offering the best commercial floor covering solution on the market!
Commercial floor covering helps you to transform a dull, dirty, and dangerous concrete garage floor into a clean, comfortable, and great-looking surface.

Easy Installation of Roll-Out Garage Flooring® 30 to 60 minutes
Minimal tools!No adhesives required!
Simply unroll
Trim and overlap if needed
Taping is optional
Step-by-Step Installation Instructions
1)
For best result, unpack and install product as soon as possible after delivery. The sooner product is removed from
packaging, the sooner it will lay flat on garage floor after installation.
2)
Sweep and clean garage floor. Wipe up any oil and chemicals from floor before rolling out product.
3)
Unroll product on garage floor. Edges may be butted together or overlapped (see Overlap Note below) for seamless appearance and floor protection. Initially,
the Garage Floor Protector will have curl marks due to being rolled on a core or folded in a box for shipment (this is normal).
Unroll option 1:
For lay flat results, unroll Garage Floor Protector in the sunlight on a clean driveway. The warmer the conditions
the quicker curls will straighten out and lay flat. Use wide push broom, push air out from center and work your way out
(side to side and length to length) Repeat if necessary. Place on garage floor when desired and repeat broom out.
Unroll option 2:
If you wish to unroll product directly on the garage floor, sweep garage floor clean of debris and unroll Garage Floor Protector.
For best results, start unrolling process at the garage entrance; finishing at the back of the garage. Note: In cool to
cold conditions it may take 72+ hours for most curl marks to lay flat depending on the temperature. Be sure to push out air with
broom (It is OK to park your car on it during this time).
Overlap note:
G-Floor® Flooring that is 10' wide, has an "overlap flap"
(approximately 1.5" to 2" wide) of unpatterned material running down one side.
Flooring that is 9' wide or less, has no "overlap flap".
4)
Allow mat to relax and lay flat. For custom fit, allow product to relax in place before trimming around edges and corners.
Note: If product is used under extreme temperature conditions, such as direct sunlight or unheated garages, the product may expand or contract as much as 2% after laying flat. For custom fit, always allow product to relax before trimming around edges and corners.
5)
Trim edges with sharp scissors or utility knife.
6)
Taping around edges is not necessary. This product can expand or contract up to 2% with temperature changes. It is best if the product is allowed to 'float' freely on the floor. If you choose to tape the seam between two floor protectors, we recommend using indoor-outdoor carpet tape.
Note: Due to the manufacturing process, patterns of two pieces of flooring may not match or align exactly along the seam when two mats are laid side by side.
CAUTIONSAFETY WARNING:
This is not a slip-proof Product
Any floor surface can become slippery in the presence of moisture and debris. Proper care and cleaning of vinyl flooring will reduce the likelihood of slips and falls. Wipe up any oil, chemicals, or other fluids that may drip or leak from vehicle to prevent hazardous, slippery conditions. Always dispose of hazardous materials properly.

Product Cleaning and Care of BLT Roll-Out Garage Flooring
Surface is easily washed with soap and water. Product can be easily washed off inside or outside of garage. Brush or sweep with
cool water using a broom or sponge squeegee. Mild soaps and normal household detergents may be used. Do not leave harsh
detergents or chemicals on product or wash into sewer system. Some people prefer moving the product outside and hosing it off.
Normal household vinyl cleaners may be used to increase longevity and to remove stubborn debris. Certain automotive vinyl
products may cause surface to become slippery. Use a non-slip vinyl protector such as a clean-and-shine floor cleaner.
This is not a stain-proof productcertain dyes, inks, rubber tires, and chemicals may cause permanent staining.
Some of our customers have reported that spray-on Brake and Tool Cleaner, found in many auto parts stores,
will remove some stubborn stains without damaging the product. However, use of brake and tool cleaner may
cause product discoloration. Never use harsh chemicals such as tar remover or kerosene on this product.
After cleaning, apply a coat of floor polish for vinyl floors to add a long-lasting, high-luster finish, even to older garage floor protectors.
NOTE:
Leaving chemicals on the product for a long period of time may cause damage. If concrete floor has been treated
with certain sealers prior to mat installation, sealer may break down over time and adhere to back of mat without
causing damage to mat. Some motorcycle kickstands may cut or damage this product.
